Scammer Car Rental Website

Up until this week all of the scam notices we received from B&B owners had the name/address of the ‘agent.’ We never got the name/address of where the money was to be sent. That changed this week – we got it twice!

I hope Western Union gets ID from people collecting the money. Maybe the ‘scammers’ will be looking over their shoudler just a little more.

New Map

The new map was launched today.

Here are the notables:

1. Faster loading – this was achieved through several coding improvements, removal of the heavy graphics, and some special behind the scenes magic.
2. Left Hand Side List – on the left hand side a list of the states, cities, B&B’s will be displayed. Each will have a link and a colored dot beside it. The link will display where that item is on the map with a pop up information window. The colored dot when clicked will load that item.
3. Large and Small Version – large and small versions are available. Look for the link below the map.

Satellite or Map mode – your choice.

Maps are available for limited areas around the world. Mainly the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Japan. Most other places do not have maps available. Yet, we are a global directory!

We now allow B&B owners to select Map or Satellite mode for their mapping information. This means if a B&B owner is located in Australia that B&B owner can set the latitude and longitude and select satellite mode plus the zoom level.  This B&B owner’s map would then display the map in satellite mode.
This is available to all listings and can be found on the page where listings are edited.

Click the Pins to see Nearby Listings

If you are viewing a B&B you might notice on the left hand side listings that are nearby the one you are viewing.

Beside those nearby B&B’s you might also notice pins. These pins are the legends for the map showing where that nearby B&B is in relation to the B&B you are viewing.

If you click those pins information windows will pop-up on the map.  See the screen shot on the left.
